At each event we ask for the assistance of area motorcyclists. If you are interested in helping us at an event please contact us.

Volunteering to ride as a safety escort can be a fun and challenging way to use your motorcycle.

All types of motorcycles are welcome at the races we support. We also use trikes at select events but their use is limited due to race regulations and the width of the race course.

We train you before the event as to the job you are to be assigned.

We work with many ride groups, associations, and clubs. Including but not limited to GWRRA, HOG, SCRC, CMA, and others. You do not have to belong to a ride group to work an event.

Many times we will perform more than one job during an event. The lead or official motos often ride safety or transport media after they have completed the first task. Being able to ride double and being comfortable with new people in your back seat is essential. Many of the race officials are skilled riders.

We hope to see you at an event this summer.

Typical Job Assignments:

Run Ahead Moto (aka Indian Scout): This moto runs ahead of the first moto and alerts the corner workers that the racers are moments away.

Overall Lead Moto: This moto runs ahead of the first racer out of the transition area and stays ahead of that racer throughout the event. The lead moto is often behind a LEO moto.

Head Referee Moto: This moto transports the "Head Referee" throughout the event. This can often mean transporting the referee to/from the swim area before the bicycle leg of the race. The Head Referee directs other race officials/judges during the race.

Official Transport: This moto transports the race officials/judges during the bicycle portion of the race. The moto and its rider are under the direction of the official but the rider is responsible for its safe operation.

Media Transport: This moto takes still and video cameraman onto the course during the race. Only media people approved by the race director can be transported.

VIP Transport: This moto would transport a VIP of the race, it is often an elected official or someone designated by the race director.

Race Director Transport: This moto is at the disposal of the race directors for their use during the event.

Follow Moto: This moto follows the last place finisher around the course to make everyone aware this is the last racer. Many times the last place moto has LEO following as well.

Safety Moto: This moto will do a multitude of jobs from looking for debris on the road to looking for stranded racers. Safety motos can be motos who have already completed other assignments earlier in an event.

Moto Photgrahper: This person will take digital photgraphs of the moto team during the event.

Logistics Chick: The logistics chick is responsible for getting T shirts, water, and supplies for the team. (Yes, the name is politically incorrect, not meant to offend anyone but it just evolved as such)
