Music City Triathlon Saturday July 25 2010 7:00 am The Music City Triathlon was a huge success and over 700 triathletes came to try out the new course in 2009. More are expected this year to challenge the fast course. Motorcycle Staging Area LP Field Main Parking Area This will be on a course in downtown Nashville. we will stage on the east side of the Cumberland River in the area around LP Field, home of the NFL Tennessee Titans. The bike course will be a two-loop 12 mile course on Ellington Parkway, which is a short hop from the stadium on downtown streets. Ellington Parkway will be closed to traffic during the event. This is a fast and exciting triathlon and the bicycle leg will be fast. This race almost always sells out and 900 bicycles will be racing along Nashville's downtown streets. Motorcycles from the Purple Wing will be there to help make the race safe and fair for all who are competing. Need a total of 12 motorcycles. More motos are welcome. Trikes and sidecars are limited to two for this event. Lead Moto, Female Lead Moto, Head Referee Moto, Official Moto (2), Media Moto, Follow Moto, Safety Moto (4) The Music City Triathlon is 24 miles long. There will be a limit of 900 racers in the event. Meet at 7:00 am and most of the motorcycles are done by 9:30 am. Please let us know your shirt size by three weeks before the race especially if you need a 2XL or larger. We cannot guarantee you an event T-shirt unless we know you are coming.
